The Last Fire

As the last sunrays of the day touch the Earth, so are the last leaves of the year shining brightly in blazing red at the Great Wall of Badaling in Beijing, China. Soon they will recede to a long, harsh night of snow and ice at this mountainous location, only to be reborn again the following spring. And so the cycle continues.
